This is a 100% outdoor program that follow OHA guidelines for Covid and part of programs that have no recorded transmissions in over 3000 participants since june 2020. This program melds academic with adventure lead by Delaney Chabot. It is 100% outside and focuses on exploring scientific concepts associated with various outdoor activities and observations. This class can be taken in tandem with the Thursday class which will cover additional content and provides great opportunities for participants to get science education in an active and outdoor setting. Each week we will focus on a different branch of science as found in the natural world from physics to earth science and biology to ecology. Each class will pose a unique question we will try to answer and understand through exploration and experimentation. 'Science' class activites may include archery, balance and movement, bushcraft, arts, and games in addition to classic science experiments to find the answers to our questions. Focus is on the scientific process and learning by exploration. This class helps to satisfy the homeschool science curriculum. Bring your own brain and be ready to explore the wonders of science! Also bring snacks, lunch, weather appropriate clothing and shoes and a mask as needed. Delaney Chabot studied science and biology education on the New England coast. She teaches through experience and loves asking questions and is a veteran Coyle Outside Survival Camp instructor.
