About This Activity

Description

This activity is closed to further registration.

Play the fastest growing youth sport in America, Lacrosse. Local college players and coaches will help you learn the fundamentals, develop skills, learn team work and meet new friends. Season begins with the program kick-off on Monday, March 11, 2019. Practices will be Monday's and Friday's from 4:30 - 6:00 PM. Practices from March 11 - March 22 will be in Avery Park by the Townsend Picnic shelter opposite of the dinosaur bones. Beginning April 1, and for the rest of the season, practices will be at the Crystal Lake Sports Complex. There will not be any practices the week of March 25. There may be optional Wednesday skill building practices based on the coaches' availability. Games are on the weekends. Travel for this program is throughout the Willamette Valley, Portland, Sisters and Bend areas. If enough participants register teams will be divided by grades 3/4, 5/6 and 7/8. The girl's program is non-contact. Each girl must provide / purchase goggles, mouth guard, shorts and a lacrosse stick. Cleats are optional. The boy's program is full contact. Boys must provide / purchase helmet, gloves, shoulder pads, elbow pads, mouth guard, cup, supporter, shorts and a lacrosse stick. Cleats are optional. Gear may be purchased at a discounted price from Play It Again Sports in Corvallis.
