This our introductory program for children who have not learned strength training before, whether or not they are involved in other sports. Tuesdays and Thursdays 2:30-3:30pm Build strength, increase confidence, and learn a life-long skill. The youth weightlifting program is built specifically for the needs of adolescents. It begins with very light weights emphasizing movement, body positions, and consistency. Progressions in both skills and weights are used throughout the eight weeks. Each athlete has a very personalized experience and moves at their own pace. The movements are drawn from powerlifting and Olympic weightlifting: snatch, clean, jerk, squats, presses, and deadlifts. These movements develop and express full body strength.
