Description
**Parents MUST register their children IN-PERSON at one of the four centers; if possible, youth should also attend registration to ensure accuracy for size requests. Registration for any three of the four programs leaving from Carla Madison, Central Park, St. Charles, and Montbello will be held at the respective Recreation Centers on Wednesday, November 20th from 4:30pm - 7:30pm.**An additional registration opportunity for remaining spots at ALL Learn to Ski & Ride Programs will be held on Saturday, November 23rd from 10:00am - 2:00pm at St. Charles, Harvey Park, Cook Park, and Scheitler Recreation Centers.
**Any remaining spots and the ability to join the waitlist will open online following in-person registration.
The Learn to Ski & Ride program provides Denver youth (ages 7-17) an opportunity to develop snow-sport skills through group lessons at Winter Park Resort. Participants can choose either to ski or snowboard. Registration fee includes all equipment rental, transportation, lift ticket, group instruction provided by Winter Park, and the option to borrow winter gear such as snow pants, goggles, and gloves.
This program is intended for Denver residents who are BEGINNER OR FIRST-TIME SKIERS/SNOWBOARDERS ONLY! All lessons will take place on beginner terrain. We cannot accommodate experienced skiers and snowboarders on this program. Youth are invited to register for up to 3 Learn to Ski & Ride programs for the 2024-25 winter season.
**In order to participate you must complete and sign the required Winter Park Waivers and Agreements, which are separate from this Denver Parks & Recreation ActiveNET registration. Links are located in the waiver section. Each link is specific to the recreation center, and must be filled out for each trip in order for child to participate.

CANCELLATIONS: If Outdoor Recreation cancels the trip due to inclement weather, lack of participants, or any other unforeseen circumstances, the participants will receive a full REFUND.
REFUNDS: 15 DAYS IN ADVANCE: If a participant cancels the registration 15 days in advance, a full REFUND will be given. LESS THAN 15 DAYS IN ADVANCE: If a participant cancels registration less than 15 days in advance, NO CREDIT OR REFUND will be given. APPEAL: If a participant experiences a serious illness or loss that prevents their attendance that requires special consideration, an appeal can be submitted to the Coordinator of Outdoor Recreation for review.
