Students who have taken Violin Beginnings Level 1 will pick up right where they left off, continuing to develop their fundamental skills and learning new songs. They will play pieces from Magic Carpet for Violin as well as the famous Twinkle Variations from Suzuki Violin School, Volume 1. Games designed to develop their musical ear and rhythmic skills will build on the foundation created in Level 1, and they will learn to read the notes in the A Major scale as well as all the basic rhythmic values. Special listening time each class will introduce students to the rich history of Western classical music, from the Middle Ages to music that is being composed today. A combination of traditional, Suzuki, and Rolland methods will be used.
IMPORTANT: A parent is required to attend and participate in the class with their child, and to practice daily with them at home. Students are required to rent/purchase their own child-size violin.
