This 90-minute class provides a more advanced option for our growing young actors. With a final presentation featuring characters and scenarios from Roald Dahl?s James & the Giant Peach, the Young Actors will perform at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 9th and Sunday, December 10th, before our matinee performances of James and the Giant Peach, JR.
This class builds on the basics introduced in our Mini Actors? showcase, concentrating on story-structure, characterization, the creative process, and acting techniques. Our Young Actors will experience a more realized performance, complete with technical elements such as sound and costumes. Students are expected to attend all rehearsals and both performances. Our Young Actors? Showcase is an excellent training ground for our musical showcases! It is a prerequisite for our Musical Showcase program and we recommend a minimum of two sessions at this level of study.
- Includes all rehearsals and performance weekend, show T-shirt & two complimentary tickets (one ticket for each performance; see below for additional ticket information).
- Final classes of the session may extend by 30 minutes (to be determined). There will be an additional evening rehearsal in the performance space on Friday, December 8th, time to be announced.
- Rehearsal location:
