DescriptionWe will spend the first half of the workshop participating in an interactive introduction. Students will spend the next 30 minutes working in small groups developing and storyboarding original short skits. They?ll collaborate to decide their genre, setting, dialouge and blocking. Students will then work together to act out a short skit reinforcing strong storytelling with a beginning, middle and end, around 3 minutes in length. Students will come together asa whole group for vocal and physical warm-ups and the basics of being on camera in front of a green screen. The second half of the workshop will be spent donning costumes and props and filming their skits. Our program is all about collaboration, teamwork, and having fun while learning about strong storytelling through film. Unwritten Roads will film each skit, edit the skits outside of class, and send a reel back home to be viewed by families.
