Our education, experience and training allow for the most appropriate sequence of training for skill acquisition. The program seeks to provide developing athletes with a fun and stimulating opportunity for physical and psychosocial development. The program will focus on athletic movement; coordination, agility, strength, power, body control and endurance (muscular and cardiovascular). Developing athletes will develop these skills through a variety of exercises, movement, games, races, fun drills and group activities. The developing athletes will learn how to use jump ropes, agility ladders, medicine balls and more. They will learn to practice proper jumping technique, running form, and more. These skills are essential to the development of any sport skill. Developing athletes can't shoot a basketball with correct form until they can squat and jump, they can't cut on the soccer filed until they can leap. Rotational power and control is needed for golf and baseball. Our program takes pride in "active learning", there will be very little standing around. The developing athletes will be taken through a planned progression of training drills over the 7 week program. There will be physical pre and post tests to measure their progression. They will also learn how to continue their training after the 7 week session is complete.
