About This Activity
Description
This class welcomes students of all skill levels, from absolute beginners to advanced players. It aims to foster a love for the game, achieve rapid improvement, and teach good sportsmanship for tournament play. The curriculum is structured across three months to cover a wide range of topics, including basic rules, tactics, middlegame planning & endgame technique.
Sessions are led by John Loftus, with two decades of experience as a chess trainer. He can quickly identify areas for improvement, offer quality guidance, and teach effective study methods to those that wish to train in between classes. All materials for the class are provided.
