About This Activity

This class is led and facilitated by Evergreen’s Bryan Carr and welcomes both returning and first-time students. Philosophy is both the foundation and the peak of education, and young people are naturals at it when given the chance. In this class we will start with stories, games, video clips, music, and food, then move on together to rediscover the biggest, most perplexing issues of all. Rather than be told answers, students generate questions by thinking together about science, ethics, art, and more. We will discover that thought is a great deal of fun, while developing critical thinking, listening carefully to each other, and paying attention to how feelings and reasons work together. Dialogue is guided by the instructor. 4th-5th grade class, Fridays, January 28th-April 1st - 8 lessons No lessons on February 25th or March 11th 3:45pm-5:00pm for 4th-5th grade
