Art of Self Defense
Thursdays: 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
This new program instructs how to systematically practice personal self-defense techniques and important exercises and form for a healthy mind and body. The main focus is developing physical and mental confidence in order to make good decisions when being confronted by an aggressor. Improved mental and physical skills lead to effective self protection. Students should wear loose comfortable clothing that covers arms and legs. Jewelry should not be worn to class.
The series consists of mental (conflict resolution) and physical practices (self-defense skills) to gain experience in order to make good decisions when being confronted by an aggressor. The program is a good method of exercise for healthy mind and body.
Co-ed, ages 13 years & up. Led by Vernon Medeiros. 6 weeks, $35. Drop-in, $10/class.
