Youth Swim Lessons

DescriptionYoung swimmers will increase their confidence and self esteem while progressively improving their swimming skills. There is a class for all swimmers regardless of skill level. Register for the session, dates and time of day you wish to attend. All participants will be tested on the first day of lessons and placed in a class appropriate for their skill level.
Level I-Water Exploration-For children who have never had other swimming lessons or who may have a fear of the water.
Level II-Primary Skills-Introduces students to the fundamental skills of floating, water propulsion, and personal water safety.
Level III-Stroke Readiness-The skills presented will build on what was learned in Level II, with emphasis on learning front and back crawl.
Level IV-Stroke Development-Elementary backstroke, sidestroke and breaststroke are introduced at this level. Students will increase endurance with front and back crawl.
Level V-Stroke Refinement-Increased coordination and stroke refinement are emphasized. Students will be introduced to butterfly, open turns and surface dives.
Level VI-Skill Proficiency-Strokes are refined, endurance increased, as well as additional turns and surface dives.
Level VII-Advanced Skills-All strokes are perfected, with smoothness, ease of performance, and swimming for fitness is emphasized.
