This test prep workshop is for current 7th seventh grade students, who will be 8th grade students in the fall of 2018. Campers will work on test-taking strategies and review the five sections on the High School Placement Test (HSPT). On day one, students will take a practice assessment modeled after the HSPT to highlight specific areas that the student needs to work on. During the remainder of the week-long workshop, students will review all of the sections of the HSPT test - Verbal Skills, Math, Reading, Language, and Quantitative Skills. Some of the areas that will be emphasized during the course are time management, problem solving strategies, and content learning. The High School Placement Test (HSPT) can be a daunting challenge to middle school students and a stressful part of the application process to an independent school. Let us take away some of the intimidation by preparing your child to do his or her best work on this important exam. All students who register for either of the HSPT prep camps, will automatically be registered for the HSPT taking place at Brebeuf Jesuit on the Saturday after their week of camp. The HSPT dates at Brebeuf Jesuit are: June 16 and June 23. Aaron Tague holds a B.A. in History and Economics and a M.A. in Education from Indiana Wesleyan University.
