Description
We're sorry, but this activity is over. The last meeting was Saturday, April 2, 2022.
Join us on a group hike in varying locations around the valley. Hiking takes place every other Saturday, with the start time dependent on the length of the hike, and the month/temperature.
Hikes are designed to target individuals with disabilities and special needs, but is inclusive of ALL ABILITIES. Family members are encouraged to join the hikes.
Program is offered in partnership with SoCal Adaptive Sports & Friends of the Desert Mountains.
What to Bring/Wear:
- Dress for the weather
- Wear closed toed shoes
- Bring at least 2 Liters of water! - this is required
- Hat
- Sunscreen
**Hikes are varying levels and all ability levels are taken into consideration when locations/trails are chosen. Modifications can be made if needed. Please disclose specific needs for a hike, i.e. use a mobility device, diagnosis is sensitive to heat, when registering.
While the trail information is listed, if joining us for the hike you REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED!

**EVERYONE WHO ATTEND THE HIKE MUST REGISTER**
Adaptive/Therapeutic programs are designed specifically for individuals with special needs and disabilities. Participant's family members are encouraged to attend programs to provide positive reinforcement and support when needed.
An additional information form must be completed, in addition to the standard waiver, prior to the class start date. The paperwork can be downloaded from the DRD website.
