We invite campers, ages 7 to 9, to dive into the world of horses and explore their interest in horses and participate in competitive sports. These campers will end the week with a skills test and competitions. Returning campers will be grouped by their skill levels, to allow them to build upon their developing abilities. Campers can be expected to learn safe handling of horses, how to halter and lead, groom and saddle, mount/dismount, walk, whoa and steer, and proper use of hands, legs, seat and voice. Campers will help with ranch chores and learn how to care for horses and farm animals. Campers will participate in team building and group activities. All activities are age-appropriate and professionally supervised. Campers should bring a water bottle, morning snack and lunch. We'll provide lunch every Friday. One week of camp is $200 plus a $25 non-refundable registration fee, per child, per week. Early Drop Off, 7 am to 7:45, is $10 per day per child and Extended Camp is $5 per day, per child. Camp fees are due the Saturday before the Monday of the week you are attending. We accept cash, credit card, or VENMO. For more information, email horses4heroes@gmail.com. We are licensed, insured and professionally staffed.
