Full time U15 Freeriders will have a more holistic and focused approach to improving their skiing throughout the year with more focus on off-season prep, dryland training and culture building with their teammates through summer and fall programming. SBSTA U15 Freeriders will continue to build their all-mountain skiing skills and dive deeper into the competition side of our sport. On a daily basis U15 athletes will be tasked with dynamic and disciplined skiing on and off piste to utilize the best terrain and conditions on the hill. At this stage of development, our freeriders are learning and honing their air skills with 360s and grabs, while fine tuning their on-snow tactical and technical approaches to skiing difficult terrain. On the competitive side, our athletes are encouraged to compete in local TJFS freeride events where they will employ run visualization and other mental tactics to help achieve their best performances. There will be opportunities to compete on the national stage as well for motivated athletes with coaches recommendation. Full time freeriders will be expected to attend and excel in 4 dryland training sessions per week in the off-season, as well as maintaining their fitness in-season through 2 sessions weekly. Attendance expectations for full time athletes during the ski season includes the above maintenance training as well as 6 days per week on snow training with their teammates. Resort season pass is included in the cost of the program. Visit the program page on our website for more details regarding schedule and equipment.
