Description
At this time we are no longer taking new participants for this program. First Responder Emergency Day Camp is a service provided for law enforcement and fire first responders, front-line health care workers, school district employees and essential staff that work for the City of Palmdale who are responding to the COVID-19 pandemic. Children must be enrolled in grades 1st-8th and be comfortable in a 1:12 staff-to-child ratio. Day Camp to include distance learning, socialization, and recreation activities. This emergency service is intended solely for essential first responders, city and health care employee parents/guardians who must be on duty away from their home and do not have other child care options. On the first day of attendance, you must provide proof that you are employed with police, fire or public health, work as a front line health care employee, or City of Palmdale essential worker. An employee badge is accepted as proof. Please note: day camp is not license; however care providers are background checked, fingerprinted, and pulled from existing City of Palmdale youth programs. The emergency childcare center follows all mandatory conditions identified by Los Angeles Count Department of Public Health.
