TPS’s much beloved ballet instructor, Fallon Gannon, is returning to share the joy of moving to music in a class focused on enriching children’s lives with an appreciation for and love of dance. This winter, dancers will learn about the classic ballet, Swan Lake. Dancing to the beautiful music of Tchaikovsky, students will learn about the story and learn their very own swan dance with a performance at the conclusion of the winter club. Fallon will lead ballet class remotely via Zoom and students will all dance together from their homes! Class will begin with a warm-up and center exercises. Each class, participants will read excerpts from The Nutcracker story and then learn choreography from the ballet. Dancers will perform the full dance remotely during the last session for the family in their home afterwards. (Please note: Dancers will need a small pillow, scarf, and/or wand as props for their dance. Ballet is open to both male and female dancers. Students may wear their own ballet slippers and leotards, or comfortable clothes suitable for dance. There are no sessions on Feb 12 & March 5.)
