The Penn Medicine Summer Program for High School Students (PennMed) is for highly motivated high school juniors and seniors. Students are guided and taught by Penn Faculty and staff and are immersed into the world of medicine as they explore career possibilities available to medical students. This is one of the top medical school programs for high school students and features lectures, demonstrations, discussions, hands-on sessions, and field excursions designed to expose students to the fascinating world of modern medicine. In order to begin your application to PennMed, you must submit payment of the $100 non-refundable application fee. In order to request an application fee waiver, an email supporting your request should be sent by your college or guidance counselor to firstname.lastname@example.org. Applications and all supplemental materials are due by 11:59 PM EST on March 18, 2016. Admissions decisions will be released via email by 5:00 PM EST on April 8, 2016. Accepted students will be asked to submit a payment of $7550 within one week. Payments may be made via check or wire transfer.
