Essays are a vital part of writing, both in school and in many professions. The ability to write a well-constructed, though-out essay is a rare and valuable skill in today's communication-driven world, and will extend to many areas of life, including writing emails, speeches, and even the odd text message. To demonstrate the organizational and structural elements of a larger essay, this course will first review the construction of the perfect paragraph. However, the bulk of the course will focus on the preparation of initial ideas to the identification of a thesis statement, the writing of topic sentences, drafting and revising supporting points and transitory elements, and deciding the most appropriate purpose the conclusion will serve--all the skills needed to create a perfect essay. To enroll for both weeks of 9th & 10th grade Essay Writing, please register for Week 1 and Week 2, and the discount will be applied automatically.
