Gold 1 is the first step into our Competitive Junior Pathway program and is reserved for juniors that are currently playing USTA Entry Level tournaments. All players need to be level equivalent to a high intermediate player with aspirations to play Varsity High School Tennis and committed to playing USTA Sanctioned or Non-Sanctioned tournaments regularly. This class will focus on proper stretching, dynamic warm-ups, on & off court conditioning, ball shape, spin variety, consistency, point-play development, controlled footwork and movement, and mental toughness training and strategies for both singles and doubles tournament play. Gold 1 includes Match Play on Saturdays from 8-10am and will work on detailed stroke production and point play development appropriate for this level of player. This class runs in monthly sessions and generally meets 3 times a week on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday for Match Play.
NOTE: Match play attendance is Mandatory, as match play is 65% of player development at this level.
Player graduation is approximately 12 months and Pro approval is REQUIRED to move to the next level of development.
