CITs (Counselors in Training) are required to attend Outdoor Leadership camp (offered in Summer). Please call our office (919-489-0900) before registering if your child has not attended Outdoor Leadership camp, but is interested in becoming a CIT. We will learn how to be safe and have fun outdoors in a rollicking journey in the forest and fields. We will learn how to find signs of wildlife, how to build fires, how to recognize plants, and more. This camp is filled with hands-on activities where we will explore some of the secrets of nature. It is a great step-by-step gentle introduction to outdoor skills for young naturalists, adventurers, and survivalists. We will share basic awareness skills and practices that can help children feel at home in the forest now and always. It is a great camp for kids with a big imagination and a budding love of nature. This program allows for drop off between 7:45 am - 8:30 am. CITs are expected to stay at camp between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm.
