About This Activity

Description

Learn the basics of woodworking, how to use various hand tools, building techniques, and math skills! All new students start off bymaking a sanding block and spin top. This gives them a taste ofeach tool we use and how to use them, then they have the optionto make whatever they want! We'll provide a host of ideas, butcampers are strongly encouraged to use their imaginations tobuild what they'd like. Projects can include birdhouses, toys cars, boats, treasure chests, etc. Camps will have time for teaching aswell as outdoor play time where we can run around and enjoy thesummer!
Please bring a peanut free snack, lunch, and a refillable water bottle. Wear sunscreen and appropriate closed toe footwear for safety and outdoor play.
