Let’s give kids the Enrichment BOOST that they need to succeed! The YMCA’s BOOST Enrichment programs are a great way for kids to play sports with friends, dance their hearts away, engage in STEM project, get creative with art experiences, get moving with youth fitness or participate in a host of other enrichment activities that help afternoons fly by. Our experienced team of staff Tutors are available to lead kids in fun and exciting enrichment programs and provide academic tutoring and support with their homework and schoolwork. YMCA BOOST Enrichment programs are being offered to the community, free-of-charge, in partnership with the City of Los Angeles. YMCA BOOST Enrichment programs are available at 14 of our YMCA branches. YMCA BOOST Enrichment programs are a combination of learning and fun. Children will engage in educational, recreational and fine arts enrichment activities, which may include arts experiences, sports and games, recreation, fitness, leadership development, diversity and inclusion, service-learning, 21st century skills and more! Our staff Tutors are also available to provide academic tutoring, homework assistance and schoolwork support to kids who need an extra BOOST with their studies. YMCA BOOST Enrichment programs are offered after school. In addition, some YMCAs may also offer BOOST Saturday Enrichment, giving kids an EXTRA BOOST of enrichment on the weekends. This program takes place at 14 YMCA branches in the City of Los Angeles. It is the parent/guardian’s responsibility to drop-off their child to the program and pick-up their child from the program at the end of each program day. The YMCA does not provide any transportation to or from the program locations. Once approved to participate in the program, the parent/guardian will receive an email invitation to complete their child’s online enrollment packet. The email invitation is usually delivered to your email inbox within 1-2 business days of enrolling online. The invitation will come from CampDoc/DocNetwork. Once the online enrollment packet is complete, the child may begin the program. Parents and guardian, have peace-of-mind in knowing that you can drop your child off at the YMCA and place them in the safe hands of our staff tutors. Parents/guardians may remain in the YMCA branch during the program or may drop their kids off and return for pick-up at the end of the program day. A YMCA Membership is not required for participation in this program. Each YMCA location is unique in the tutoring and enrichment programs that it offers. Please take note of which grade levels your YMCA of choice accepts. Please also take note of the sessions offered. This is an enrichment and tutoring program; it is not a child care program. This program is not a licensed child care program and it does not take place inside of a licensed child care facility. The intake application, proof of residency and proof of income should be submitted to BOOSTEnrichment@ymcala.org. Please allow up to 1 week for processing. By registering for this program, the parent, guardian or authorized representative of the enrolled child/children confirms that they have read, understood and agreed to all the policies and procedures for enrollment in this YMCA program.
