Savannah’s beautiful marshes and islands serve as the setting for Savannah Country Day School’s Coastal Ecology Camp this summer. Each weeklong session takes students into the fascinating world of this fragile ecosystem. Led by Bill Eswine, Savannah Country Day’s science coordinator for the Lower School and Director of the Coastal Ecology Program, This week is the Explorer Session June 15-19 is for rising 3rd-7th grade students--(seventh graders will still be campers, but will also be treated as Junior Counselors). This session includes day trips with the exception of a Thursday overnight camp-out. Some activities included are canoeing, a one-night camp-out (meals included), and day trips to local barrier islands and Sapelo Island in McIntosh County. The cost for the Explorer Session is $395.00. Space is limited and online registrations will fill quickly. (Tentative schedule: Mon, Wed: 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM. Tues: 6:30 AM - 4:30 PM.
