About This Activity
Description
Having mastered the fundamentals, students learn additional water safety skills and build stroke technique, developing skills that prevent chronic disease, increase social-emotional and cognitive well-being, and foster a lifetime of physical activity.
In this class, school-age swimmers will learn the following:
Stage Four: Front crawl, back crawl, breaststroke kick, butterfly kick, treading water, elementary backstroke.
Stage Five: Stroke technique, major competitive strokes, treading water and sidestroke.
Stage Six: Refine stroke technique on all major competitive strokes, learn about competitive swimming, discover how to incorporate swimming into a healthy lifestyle.
Participants must have completed stage 3 prior to registering for this class and be able to swim at least 25 yards on their own.
Please bring swim suit and towel for your child. No class Tuesday, March 26th.
