Activity Organizer: Chess Wizards Email: uzma@chesswizards.com Dates: Tuesdays Grades: 2-5 Cost: $450 Description: Join Chess Wizards this semester for tons of challenging chess lessons, exciting games, and cool prizes. You'll improve your chess skills, and work out your most powerful muscle - your brain! Our classes are geared to suit children of all skill levels; from chessling to checkmate artist, students will build upon their knowledge through lessons, variation games and more! More than just a game of winning and losing, we make learning chess fun! Beginning with free play to evaluate familiarity and comfort level, chess wizards will layer in skills and work with kids to learn to apply them to game play. Next, variant games are a great way to keep learners interested, and chess extra fun and playful. Throughout this program, we will work with your child to connect chess concepts, so they internalize the game's rules and overarching framework. Advanced chess wizards will develop a deeper understanding of the game. Everyone will graduate with advanced knowledge and joy for the game.
