Our new Next Gen program provides a platform to jump up to one of our discipline specific Performance Programs. With up to 7 sessions per week, this program is designed to develop advanced paddling skills across the paddling disciplines, while also focusing on building foundational strength and fitness skills in preparation for the racing season. This program will continue to teach paddlers about the various elements of training and competition with a focus on developing paddling skills, endurance, and effective goal setting (both on and off the water). Paddlers are expected to attend both on-water and off-water practices (i.e., dryland training such as running, body exercises, stretching), and are expected to attend a variety of regattas throughout the racing season. Athletes in this program are focused on competing in local races and attempting to qualify for higher level regattas across the paddlesport disciplines. They are also developing the skills needed to succeed in a Performance Program in Sprint Canoe/Kayak, Surfski, Outrigger Canoe, or Dragon Boat.
