OPEN TO ADMITTED & ENROLLED MEMBERS OF THE GONZAGA CLASS of 2025 ONLY. This five-day camp introduces incoming Gonzaga Freshman to the sport of rowing. Moving quickly from an on-land introduction to the sport to an on-the-water experience, the camp gives incoming freshmen exposure to the sport and the Gonzaga rowing community. Recent alumni run most of the camp experience. Since its founding in 1995, Gonzaga Crew has steadily grown—introducing more and more young men to the sport while becoming increasingly competitive on the water. Over the past decade, Gonzaga has risen to become one of the top scholastic boys’ rowing programs in the country. The program consistently wins the Washington Metropolitan Team Championship and has won the Stotesbury Cup Championship—the most prestigious scholastic rowing race in the country—five times. Crews from Gonzaga have also competed in the Henley Royal Regatta in England four times. With over 75 boys on the roster, the team fields boats at all levels. While all of our athletes are new to the sport of rowing when they start at Gonzaga, many eventually go on to row in college. Since 2016 we have sent four Gonzaga rowers to Harvard, one to Yale, two to Dartmouth, two to the Naval Academy, and one to the University of Washington, to name just a few.
