Yes, Chef! 2nd, 3rd & 4th Graders, Mondays, 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. $280 Regular $252 Reduced for students regularly enrolled in Summit Afterschool during this class Sept 23, 30, Oct 7, 21, 28, Nov 4, 11, 18, 25, Dec 9 No classes on Oct 14 and Dec 2 Led by Summit School Sous Chef Jenny Kissinger, assisted by Summit Sous Chef Chris Harris. Learn the basics of cooking, including mixing, measuring, stirring, cooking terminology, and a safe introduction to knife skills. Learn how to work in small groups and problem-solve while having fun and making delicious, kid-friendly, recipes. Students must arrive ready to listen, learn, and have fun. They must wear closed-toe shoes and put their hair up if necessary. All equipment and ingredients will be provided for each class. The menu will include some of the recipes from last year. There will be no snack served at the beginning of this class so that more time will be spent on making delicious dishes. Allergies should be listed during registration, so the class menus can be planned appropriately.
