If your camper loves to be around younger children and has shown an interest in babysitting, this is the perfect camp! It’s designed for campers who are craving more responsibility and are ready to begin the transition from camper to camp staff member. Campers can choose to attend for only one week, a few weeks, or join us for the entire summer! They will spend their days working with campers in our Super Summer and Panther Cub camps, practicing their skills and gaining experience. CIT is a great opportunity for campers to build their skills and work toward a future caring for children! Campers must hold a babysitting certification in Safe Sitter or another nationally recognized babysitting program to serve as a CIT. NYA will hold a Safe Sitter certification course on a date TBD for interested campers. Safe Sitter teaches skills like safety, childcare, first aid and rescue, and life and business. Cost of the course is $60 per camper and requires a separate registration and payment. Contact Mary at mgoodrich@nya.org for more information. CIT Supervisor: Kassi Michaud, NYA Assistant Camp Director
