Easy DIY Halloween Costumes for Kids

Halloween is right around the corner, but don't stress. There's plenty of time to put together an easy but awesome costume for your kids.

Fun-N-Funky Ballerina

This costume is a no-brainer for the tiny dancer in your house. Let them pick out a fun tutu to wear with the leotard and tights they already own. Add a plastic crown and wand if they'd prefer to be a fairy princess ballerina, or mix and match patterns and colors when they select their outfit for a colorful spin.

Crafty Witch

You can never go wrong with this classic costume for all ages. Pick up simple witch hats and capes, let the kids decorate them as they please (glow-in-the-dark paint or stickers would be our picks), and pair with an all-black ensemble.

Sports Fanatic

Got a sports lover? Chances are you have a full uniform ready for Halloween. Have them throw on their favorite jersey (and any other gear they please), add some team spirit face paint and you're ready to hit the town for trick-or-treating.

Purr-fect Kitty Cat

Here's another easy costume that starts with an all-black outfit. Let your kid pick out a cat-ear headband and clip-on tail of their liking, and draw whiskers and a nose on their face to finish the look off. Add some spookier face paint if a "zombie cat" is their preference.

If none of these fit the bill for your kids, check out these easy DIY costumes for last-minute inspiration.
