13 Healthy Dinner Recipes for Busy Families

If your house is anything like mine, the evening hours consist of leaving work, picking the kids up from after school activities and finally arriving home to the chimes of "I'm hungry!" from my adoring kids as soon as we walk in the door. It's tempting to swing through the drive-thru or order take-out just for the sake of convenience, but a home cooked meal is so much better for you and your family.

That sounds well and good, but the key is being prepared. Take some time on the weekend to plan out your meals for the week and shop for all the ingredients you need so you'll be good to go when dinner time rolls around. When you have a plan, you're much more likely to succeed in taming the busy weeknight dinner struggle.

Most of these dinners are ready in 30 minutes or less. And some of these recipes even come together in a single pan, which makes clean up a breeze.
