Description

Have fun making your own ear of corn with beads and learn about one of the many crops grown by the Ancestral Sonoran Desert People, known to archaeologists as the Hohokam.

Cost: $2 per student/craft

Each Craft Kit order includes the materials for the craft, information about corn and other plants grown by the Ancestral Sonoran Desert People, and a PowerPoint set of step-by-step instructions. There is no in-person instruction for this activity. This is a take-home craft.

Kits to be picked up at S’edav Va’aki Museum (formerly Pueblo Grande Museum & Archaeological Park) located at 4619 E. Washington Street Phoenix, AZ 85034. Call 602-495-0901 for appointment.

Please allow 2 weeks for museum staff to prepare your craft.
