Swim Lesson Placement/Levels Level Prerequisite Skills Taught
Tots 1 Must be 3 to 5 years of age Enter the water safely by jumping or stepping in, exit the water safely using the ladder or the side, bobbing fully submerged, opening eyes under water and retrieving submerged objects in great than 2ft of water, unassisted front and back glide, unassisted alternating arm and leg action on front and back, treading water using arm and leg action in moderate-deep water.

Tots 3 Must be 3 to 5 years of age Enter deep water by jumping in, submerge and retrieve an object in chest deep water, deeep water floating on front and back, diving from a seated or kneeling position, tread water, front crawl with rotary breathing, back crawl, backstroke.
Level 1 Must be 6 years old. Enter the water safely by jumping or stepping in, exit the water safely using the ladder or the side, bobbing fully submerged, opening eyes under water and retrieving submerged objects in great than 2ft of water, unassisted front and back glide, unassisted alternating arm and leg action on front and back, treading water using arm and leg action in moderate-deep water.
Level 2 Must be 6 years old. Must have completed all skills in Level 1. Enter the water safely by jumping or stepping in, exit the water safely using the ladder or the side, bobbing fully submerged, opening eyes under water and retrieving submerged objects in great than 2ft of water, unassisted front and back glide, unassisted alternating arm and leg action on front and back, treading water using arm and leg action in moderate-deep water.
Level 3 Must be 6 years old. Must have completed all skills in Level 2. Enter deep water by jumping in, submerge and retrieve an object in chest deep water, deeep water floating on front and back, diving from a seated or kneeling position, tread water, front crawl with rotary breathing, back crawl, backstroke.
Level 4 Must be 6 years of age. Must have completed all skills in Level 3. Standing dive, swimming underwater, front crawl-25 yards, back crawl-25yds, breaststroke-15 yds, butterfly-15 yds, swin on side using scissor-like kick. Tread water 1 minute.

Step 1: Age
Please select the correct age range for the student. Please note, the classes are almost identical between ages ranges. Beginners will be taught a similar lesson in both the Tot and Youth age groups. The reason for the separation is to keep kids with similar attention spans, tolerances, and maturity levels together.
Tot age group: 3 to 5 years of age
Levels 1 - 4: 6 to 14 years of age
Step 2: Ability Level
Please select the general ability level of the student based on the skills provided for each level. If your student has no experience with the water, please enroll in Level 1.
Lesson Details:
- Each session consists of eight- 30 minutes lessons.
- Spring lesson sessions run on Monday through Thursday for 2 week blocks.
- No make-up classes will be offered for missed classes unless class is cancelled by the Aquatic staff.
- Please schedule carefully, as NO REFUNDS will be given.
- Classes can fill quickly so REGISTER EARLY.
- Classes not meeting minimum enrollment requirements of 5 students will be canceled. In the event of a cancellation, participants will be offered a credit, refund or transferred to another available class.
