This class focuses on the fundamentals of ballet and tap. Students learn proper ballet terminology, the five basic ballet positions, along with an introduction to tap rhythm, tempo and coordination. Participants will learn choreography for a featured stage performance on Thursday, April 25th at Camelot Community Center, 948 King Arthur Drive, Chesapeake VA 23323. Note: Participants must be able to attend the performance on April 25th in order to register for the the class.
Additional apparel may be required. Extra practice days/times may be scheduled closer to the performance date for technical rehearsals.
Dress: Girls - leotard, tights covering the toes, tap shoes, and leather ballet shoes | Boys - white t-shirt, black jazz or athletic pants, black leather ballet shoes and tap shoes.
