Morning: Coding & Game Design with ScratchSoftware: Scratch 2.0 | Skill Level: Beg.-Int. | Learn basic programming concepts using a simple drag-and-drop interface within the software Scratch, a project developed by the MIT Media Lab. Use your imagination and implement creative thinking while learning how to create and program simple games. Use premade art assets or create your own. Learn how to program them to walk, talk, and interact with objects. Learn logic and visual programming to create simple, 2D Video Games in Scratch 2.0.Afternoon: Coding in Minecraft with LUASoftware: Minecraft | Skill Level: Beg.-Int. | Using a custom mod called “ComputerCraft,” learn how to program robots called “turtles” inside the world of Minecraft. Utilize problem-solving skills to complete various tasks such as programming turtles to automatically build, mine, and craft items and structures. Learn basic programming "if-then-else" statements and "for-while" loops. Implement functions using LUA, a simple scripting language.
