This is a basic introduction to playing the acoustic guitar in a group class; we'll be learning how to play chords, scales and songs - while covering the basics of music notation, chord charts and guitar tablature. No prior experience necessary. For beginners or those who are looking to polish their skills.Class series includes a mini-concert showcase, in April, during the annual Spring Culpeperpalooza Festival at Mtn. Run Winery.
Guitars will be provided with a rental contract agreement during the first class and you will be able to take home/use for the duration of the program (return at completion). No outside instruments permitted for this class, at this time. This is a 6 week program. Instructor asks that participants be willing to practice a minimum of 3 hours a week to progress.
ATTENDANCE AT THE FIRST CLASS IS REQUIRED.
Feel free to add you or your child's name to the waiting list, should a class spot become available. We often have last minute available spots or will consider opening a new class.
*Funding made possible in part, by the Culpeperpalooza annual fundraising event and the Vince Vala Fund for Local Music. Registration fee covers music/manuals and maintenance costs.
