Thank you for your interest in Litchfield Park Recreation Center's StarGuard Lifeguarding course!
The course will be held at :Litchfield Park Recreation Center100 S Old Litchfield Rd.Litchfield Park, AZ 85340
Participants who pass the class will receive a lifeguard certification through StarGuard Elite and a CPR for the professional rescuer certification through the American Safety and Health Institute.
Requirements: Participants MUST be at least 15 years old to enroll in class and successfully complete all aspects of the prerequisite testing.
Prerequisite Testing (held on the first day of class)
- Swim 50 yards with head above the water
- Swim 50 yards with a rescue tube
- Tread water for 1 minute without use of hands
- Retrieve a 10 lb. brick at a depth of 12 feet
CLASS DATES & TIMES
- Friday, April 5 / 5pm - 8pm
- Saturday, April 6 / 8am - 5pm
- Sunday, April 7 / 11am - 8pm

If you are interested in working at the Litchfield Park Rec Center pool, there will be a hiring event on the last day of class. Applications will be available February 2024 on litchfieldpark.gov.*Completing the lifeguard course does not guarantee employment with the City of Litchfield Park*
