Description
Let’s get hooked on fishing! Meet at Colonel Francis Beatty Park (about 15 mins from Stevens Creek) to practice your fishing skills. The lake is home to fishes big and small, including largemouth bass, channel catfish, and red-breasted sunfish. Option to pack a picnic, stay for lunch, and explore the rest of the park on your own. No experience needed; all equipment and instruction provided.
Pre-registration required for each person that wants to use a fishing rod. Not a drop-off program; children must be accompanied by a participating adult. All supplies provided.
This program takes place outside at Colonel Francis Beatty Park (4330 Weddington Rd, Matthews, NC 28105). Expect natural terrain that can be muddy after rain. Prior to the program, the instructor will email important information on how to prepare, what to bring, etc.
