Music Center of the Northwest 901 North 96th Street Seattle, WA 98103 Organized by Music Center of the NorthwestAbout this event
Description
We're sorry, but this class is over. The last meeting was Saturday, April 2, 2022.
Music Center will be moving all instruction to virtual platforms from Monday, January 3rd through Sunday, January 9th. Click here for more details.Introduce your child to the best of musical theater with Northwest Scenes. Participants will learn both ensemble and solo performance skills to help bring out each child's individual voice and stage presence. Watch out! Your child will soon become a "triple threat" with the combination of singing, acting, and dancing techniques they will acquire as part of Northwest Scenes. The class will culminate in a live, staged performance! This term we're going back in time to explore the golden age of Broadway (1940 - 1960)!
If able, please submit a short audition video to caitlinnuckolls@musiccenternw.org in addition to registering.
For the audition video we are asking for a short 1-2 min video of your child introducing themselves and singing their favorite song- it can be pop, jazz, musical theater, any genre, we just want to see them present themselves! No accompaniment or backing track necessary, it’s simply to get a first impression of their voice and comfort performing so we can pick scenes to fit their strengths.
In Person Attendance Procedures:
Unless restricted by state or government restrictions, the class will be held in person.
Those attending in person will be required to:
