We're sorry, but this activity is over. The last meeting was Wednesday, April 10, 2024.
April is Earth Month. What better way to celebrate than to help out in your own community on a day off from school! In partnership with City of Takoma Park's Public Works Department, teens can volunteer to assist at the Stuart Armstrong Garden at the corner of Philadelphia and Holly Avenue. Participants will earn 2 SSL hours!Teens will meet at the Takoma Park Community Center in the Teen Lounge at 12:30pm and take a short walk to the volunteer site. Light snack and water will be provided.
Please be sure to wear closed toe shoes and appropriate clothing as participants will be tending to the garden.
