The Aldergrove Sea Monkeys Summer Season begins on May 1, 2024.
Micro Monkeys is a FUN introduction for swimmers aged 4-10 who have successfully completed SWIMMER ONE or have been assessed by our coaches. Practices are held in the Leisure Pool. Swim meets on weekends are encouraged; coaches can support swimmers in the water during races if needed.

Developmental is our entry level Competitive program for swimmers aged 5-15 who can swim 25m in the Main Pool. This program runs Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays May 1-July 31 in two time slots. It’s expected that swimmers attend most of the practices and at least 2 Swim Meets on weekends. 20 volunteer hours per family are required.

Junior Competitive swimmers must be able to swim 50m and have been assessed by our coaches. They will begin proficiency development in all 4 competitive strokes This program runs Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays May 1-August 1, 4:30-5:30pm $550. It’s expected that Juniors attend most of the practices and at least 3 Swim Meets on weekends. 20 volunteer hours per family are required.
Senior Competitive swimmers must be able to swim 50m and have been assessed by our coaches. They will continue to work on technique but will also focus on aerobic condition and speed work. This program runs Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays May 1-August 1, 5:30-6:30pm $550. It’s expected that Seniors attend most of the practices and at least 4 Swim Meets on weekends. 20 volunteer hours per family are required.
Masters Swimming is for older siblings (19+) and/or parents of our registered swimmers. Each practice includes a workout prepared by one of our coaches. Swimmers must be able to swim 50m CONTINUOUSLY. Practices are held in the Main Pool for one hour, but you can swim for just 30mins to coincide with your child’s practice time. Swim meets on weekends are optional. Please Note: Currently, we only have a wait list available. To help us understand where the demand is, please only select the days you would want to register for.

Artistic Swimming is geared for our Developmental, Junior, and Senior swimmers. Artistic swimmers must be able to swim 50m in the big pool. They will begin to learn the fundamentals of the sport. Artistic Swimming provides a creative way to help build swimming skills and participants will have the opportunity to work with their teammates to learn a beginner level routine. This program runs IN THE MORNINGS Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays July 2-August 1.
- Group A – 12 years old or younger 8:00-8:45am $75
- Group B – 13-19 years old 8:45-9:30am $75
Starts & Turns is for our Developmental, Junior, and Senior swimmers who want to work on their starts off the blocks and turns at the walls. This program runs Wednesday mornings July 3–July 31.
- Developmental & Juniors 8:00-8:45am $25
- Seniors 8:45-9:30am $25
All swim times include dryland training and pool time.
In addition to the above program fees, there is also a Fraser Valley Region Fee of $75 and a $35 mandatory BC Summer Swimming Association insurance fee (per swimmer per year (May 1, 2024-April 30, 2025). Speed swimmers who also register for Artistic Swimming will pay an additional $10 Regional fee for a 2nd discipline.
Payments (in full or payment plan) are made online via the Active registration system via credit card. If you wish to pay in full using e-transfer, cash, or cheque, please contact Wendy at aldergroveseamonkeysregistrar@gmail.com.
There will be no practices on Victoria Day (Monday, May 20th) or Canada Day (Monday, July 1st).
If a program is full, please add your swimmer to the appropriate waitlist. This will assist us to open more programming if we are able to secure more coaching staff and/or pool time.
Please note that all programs are subject to change at the discretion of the club. Program fees will not be refunded for any missed practices (weather, illness, or other circumstances beyond our control).
