Program Description for Parent/Child Swim (C/NY Residents only)
Our classes are organized initially by age (for first time preschoolers) with a ratio of 1:4, instructor to student.
For parent and child 6 months to 3 years old, the purpose of this class is to familiarize families with the pool and to begin the process of assimilating your child for swim lessons.
This class is not designed to teach children to survive in the water on their own. The major focus of this class will be to have fun with your child while learning some of the basics such as proper holds. Instruction will be geared to the parent and a parent is required to be in the water with child.
A clean swim diaper is required under a snug fitting bathing suit for children who are not potty trained.
