About This Activity
In Livestock Legends students will get a chance to get hands on with a variety of livestock. In our camp students will get the chance to jump in and learn the basics of showing sheep, goats, pigs, cattle, and rabbits. In addition to learning how to exhibit these animals students will also learn the anatomy of each species and what judges look at when evaluating an animal. We will also spend time looking at how to properly budget a livestock project and what it takes to care for each species, from creating feeding programs to grooming. All of this learning will culminate in students getting to participate in a mock livestock show during parents day.
