About This Activity
Discover the incredible abilities of police K9s and how these magnificent, highly-trained canines learn to serve and protect. Campers will explore the amazing power of a K9’s sensitive nose, which can detect scents and collect evidence far beyond human capabilities. Campers will also learn about the vital roles these loyal, hardworking dogs play in law enforcement, and the invaluable benefits they provide to the public and law enforcement officers. This exciting, interactive camp will give campers an inside look at the impressive skills and important duties of these heroic police K9s. Hands-on activities will teach campers how to instruct their own dogs in basic obedience, tracking, and odor detection techniques. (Dogs will be provided, campers will not be allowed to bring their own dogs.)
