About This Activity
Through this camp, students will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with a variety of livestock species while learning about careers in agriculture. Campers will learn about livestock production by learning how to care for and handle horses, cattle, pigs, sheep, goats, rabbits, and chickens. Some of the activities campers will be participating in are; shearing sheep, dyeing wool, hatching chicken eggs in an incubator, performing basic vet care for livestock, and much more! Through these activities students will learn about a variety of career fields in the agricultural industry such as livestock production, agricultural engineering, and genetics.
