About This Activity

Instructor: Matt Henderson serves as a Lecturer of Music at the University of South Carolina Aiken, where he directs the USCA Jazz Ensemble and teaches applied low brass. A versatile performer and educator, he maintains an active career as a freelance musician, performing with symphony orchestras, chamber ensembles, and jazz and rock bands. Description: Rock and Roll and Society: 1960s The American Response to the British Invasion. We see the birth of Folk Rock, Pop reaches new heights of ambition, teens start garage bands across the country, and fictitious TV bands soar up the charts.
