About This Activity
Students enrolled in Advanced Drama will perform in ONE of our three spring productions. Placement in productions is based on the director's discretion. The three spring productions are: the musical Newsies, Jr., at the KiMo Theater (April 18-21); the play Puss in Boots, on tour and at the South Broadway Cultural Center (April 29-May 4); the play The Bully Plays, for actors who are 12 or older by January 9, on tour and in a public performance (May 9-11). Students must have completed Drama I in order to be eligible for Advanced Drama and to audition for our plays and musicals. Newsies, Jr. rehearses: Tues. & Thur., 6:00—8:30 pm, and Sat. 9:00—11:00 am Puss in Boots rehearses Mon. & Wed. 5:30-7:00 OR 7:15-8:45 pm. The Bully Plays rehearses Wed. 6:30-9:00 pm. Times may vary slightly but a detailed schedule will be released at the beginning of the semester. All rehearsals prior to tech week take place in our rehearsal studio at Menaul School (301 Menaul Blvd NE 87107)
