About This Activity
Students enrolled in Advanced Drama will perform in ONE of our three spring productions. Placement in productions is based on the director's discretion. The three spring productions are: the musical Willy Wonka, Jr. at the KiMo Theater (April 24-27); the play Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, on tour and at the South Broadway Cultural Center (May 5-10); the play The Bully Plays, for actors who are 12 or older by January 6, on tour and in a public performance (May 1-3). Students must have completed Drama I in order to be eligible for Advanced Drama and to audition for our plays and musicals. Willy Wonka rehearses: Mon. & Thur., 6:00—8:30 pm, and Sat. 9:00—11:00 am Alice's Adventures in Wonderland rehearses Mon. & Wed. 5:30-7:00 OR 7:15-8:45 pm. The Bully Plays rehearses Wed. 6:00-8:30 pm. Times may vary slightly but a detailed schedule will be released at the beginning of the semester. There will be no rehearsals the week of Spring Break: March 16-22. All rehearsals prior to tech week take place in our rehearsal studio at Menaul School (301 Menaul Blvd NE 87107)
